There is an ongoing contrast and competition between two things that continually influence your life and ministry. One author describes them as the clock and the compass.
The clock represents how you use your time, such things as your commitments each day or each week, your appointments, your schedule, your goals and activities. It's how you use and manage your time.
The compass represents your core beliefs and values, your conscience, your sense of personal vision and mission. It's what you believe is truly important in life and how you manage your life.
In this lesson you'll learn how to manage your lifeānot just manage your time.
You'll be equipped to:
Recognize two things always influencing you
Acknowledge the root problem of time management
Realize over-reliance on scheduling to fix deeper problems
Avoid prioritizing your schedule over scheduling priorities
Schedule your true priorities in both life and ministry
Develop the practice of regularly resting deeply and well
