Mary Grace Frame

Mary Grace Frame, 76, of Oviedo, Florida, passed away on October 9, 2022. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on January 18, 1946, to parents Calvin and Mary Cummings.

Mary graduated from Dordt University in Iowa. She married Gerald O’Donnell and had three children from that union, Deborah, Doreen and David “Skip” O’Donnell. After her divorce, she married John Frame in 1984 and had two sons, Justin and Johnny Frame.

From 1984 to 2000 they lived in Escondido, California, and moved to Oviedo, Florida, in 2000. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Oviedo and was a teacher at the Geneva School before retiring. Mary loved her family, her faith, being with children, and playing the piano.

She is survived by her husband, John; her 5 children, Deborah Rubio and her former husband, George Rubio, David “Skip” and his wife, Sharon O’Donnell, Doreen and her husband, Dennis Kester, Justin and his wife, Carolyn Frame, and Johnny Frame; her grandchildren Rebecca Rubio, Amanda Rubio, Adam Rubio, Olivia Rubio, Kristina Rubio, Malena Kester, and Gavin O’Donnell; her great-grandson, Damian. She is also survived by her siblings, Wilson Cummings, Calvin Cummings, Jr., and David Cummings.

Mary was proceeded in death by her sister, Gwendolyn, the wife of the late Australian historian and theologian Noel Weeks, a professor of Ancient History at the University of Sydney. Mary’s father was Calvin Knox Cummings, who wrote the book “Confessing Christ” often used by pastors in their church membership classes.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Equipping Pastors International, 5586 Ligustrum Loop, Oviedo, FL 32765. A visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1925 County Road 419, Oviedo, FL 32765, followed by a funeral service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM also at the church. Mary will be buried in the Chuluota Community Cemetery.
