Pathway Learning's methodology is based on the latest proven adult learning theories, and our objective is not only content but also application and character-building.

In the Foundations for Church Planting course, leaders will develop a biblical vision for ministry that incorporates both a theology and philosophy of ministry as well as plans, strategies, and methods for their context.

Over the next 4 weeks we will be previewing the Vision Lesson online for free on this blog. Subscribe and like us on Facebook for updates!

In the first video below, you will see a brief sample of the orientation for the Foundations for Church Planting course.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Welcome to the Foundations course. My name is Steve Childers. In this course you will learn how to develop

  • a biblical vision for ministry,

  • a theology and philosophy of ministry, as well as

  • very practical church development plans, strategies, and methods you can begin using immediately in your ministry—starting with this lesson.

Each lesson has been intentionally designed to be a unique Learning Pathway made up of a series of sequential Learning Steps to help you achieve several very specific and measurable learning outcomes.

These Learning Steps are highly interactive and based on the latest proven adult-learning theories so that you can receive the most practical benefits in all of these areas.

In Pathway Learning watching a video is just one of many interactive steps in your process of learning. Other equally valuable steps will include reading from experts, listening to audio, writing how the concepts will be applied, discussing the ideas with others online or onsite, taking different kinds of assessments, attending events, meeting with a person or a group of people, and doing a project.

These kinds of learning activities will then allow you to formulate your own ministry vision, mission, philosophy and strategy that uniquely fits your culture and can find immediate application in the field.

As you complete these lessons you’ll be completing a personalized Church Development Proposal (that will include a ministry plan with timeline) that meets the highest required criteria today.

Pathway Learning courses normally have four to six lessons. Each of these lessons is designed to take a minimum of 3-4 hours per week to complete. In this course, the SIX LESSONS will be focusing on the nature and development of your ministry 1) Vision, 2) Calling, 3) Focus, 3) Philosophy, 4) Purpose, and 6) Values.

It’s now time for you to take the next step on the Learning Pathway for VISION.
